By law celebrants will send your paperwork to the REGISTRY of BIRTHS DEATHS AND MARRIAGE (BDM'S) office within two weeks from your marriage date or they will use a portal online.

I will send a tracking number & it is your job to track this to see the arrival at BDM'S.

The pretty 'mantelpiece' form 15 I gave your on your actual wedding day, is from the Attorney general department but does you no good changing your name. You need to:

APPLY FOR YOUR REGISTERED MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE from Births Deaths & Marriages, usually 3-4 weeks after your marriage.

Or

Alternatively you can go into BDM's, line up, apply & leave with it on the same day.
